Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using LaxAi (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use LaxAi. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age. Users between 13 and 17 represent that their parent or guardian is aware of and consents to their use of the Service.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate information during registration
• You may not share your account with others
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

4. Use of the Service

Individual Use

LaxAi is designed for individual coaches and players to organize lacrosse drills, build practice plans, and track training. Individual accounts are for personal coaching use.

School / Organizational Use

Schools, districts, or organizations wishing to use LaxAi as an official tool for their programs should contact us to establish a Data Privacy Agreement before directing students to create accounts. School coaches using personal accounts for informal team coordination do not require a separate agreement.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload or share inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service
• Use automated tools to access the Service (bots, scrapers)
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service

6. Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain full ownership of content you create — including practice plans, custom drills, playbook plays, notes, and training logs (“Your Content”). LaxAi makes no claim to ownership of Your Content.

Private Content (Default)

By default, Your Content is private. You grant LaxAi only a narrow, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display Your Content for the sole purpose of operating the Service for you and the team members you explicitly share with.

What we will not do with your private content:

• We will not use your private content to train AI models — ours or any third party's
• We will not sell, rent, sublicense, or share your private content with other users or organizations outside the team or program you share it with
• We will not use your private content for marketing, advertising, or public display
• The license you grant us terminates when you delete the content or your account; we will purge primary data within 30 days of deletion, with encrypted backups rolling off within 90 days

Public / Community-Shared Content (Opt-In)

You may choose to share specific pieces of Your Content with the broader LaxAi community — for example, by publishing a custom drill publicly, submitting a video to the public library, contributing a coaching point, or generating a shareable link to a practice plan. This opt-in is explicit, per-item (not a blanket grant), and revocable: you can withdraw shared content at any time by deleting it, disabling the share link, or contacting privacy@laxai.app.

When you choose to share a piece of Your Content publicly, you grant LaxAi a broader, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to:

• Display the shared content to other LaxAi users, with attribution to you (unless you request anonymous attribution)
• Use the shared content to improve the Service, including training AI models intended to better recognize, categorize, or generate similar lacrosse content
• Aggregate the shared content with other community contributions to build curated drill libraries, recommendations, and product features

We still will not sell, rent, or sublicense your publicly-shared content as a standalone product, and we will not strip or alter your attribution without your permission.

Aggregated Usage Statistics

Aggregated, fully de-identified usage statistics (e.g., “X% of coaches build practice plans on Sunday,” “Average practice duration is 75 minutes”) are not Your Content and may be used to improve the Service. These statistics never include the substance of your plays, drills, or notes.

LaxAi Content

The LaxAi platform, design, AI models, and curated drill library are the property of LaxAi. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform or content.

Third-Party Content

Videos saved from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms remain the property of their original creators. LaxAi stores bookmarks/links, not copies of video content.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

• Free tier features are available without payment
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You may cancel at any time from your profile settings or Stripe billing portal
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Team Features

• Team owners are responsible for managing team membership and data
• Coaches may view players' training logs and progress on their team
• Players can leave a team at any time
• Team data shared between members is visible to all team coaches

Player and parent withdrawal rights:Players (and the parents or guardians of players aged 13-17) may request removal from a team at any time, and may request deletion of training logs visible to that team's coaches, by emailing privacy@laxai.app. Removal does not delete the player's individual account or personal training history unless the user separately requests account deletion.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

LaxAi is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.

AI-generated coaching suggestions are for informational purposes only and should not replace professional coaching judgment. Always prioritize player safety.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LaxAi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
